Trip Insurance protects your investment when refund is partial or not possible - IT IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.  Here you will find helpful links to sites that evaluate and recommend the best insurance plans.  We do not sell insurance and cannot recommend one.  What is best for you may not be best for someone else.  A few Cairn Stone travelers have successfully used their insurance after a car accident, injury, change in health or a family emergency meant they could not travel with us.

Traditionally the mid-season Test Hike is at Devil's Lake Wisconsin.  It is a very beautiful and challenging course.  It is often the wake up call for those not training equal to their goals.

Since 2004 the second and final TEST HIKE has taken place at Manistee River Valley near Cadillac, MI.  It is a beautiful destination hike and a proven test bed.
