Our first trip Orcas are on their great Washington State adventure!
I am excited about returning to the great state of Washington as our major tour destination! I am busy finalizing the tour itinerary and gathering bids. Complete trip information should be available very soon. It will be a 12 day hiking tour September 12-23 and if there's enough interest a second tour will go September 26-October 7. Major destinations being explored are Olympic National Park and Hurricane Ridge, North Cascades National Park, Mt. Rainier National Park, Baker-Snoqualmie National Park, Alpine Lakes Wilderness, Olympia, Hama Hama Oyster Saloon, San Juan Islands including Anacortes and Mt. Constitution on Orcas Island, Lake Quinault rain forest, Pacific Crest Trail, and Ron's great promenade and terrific REI store.
One of these hikes will require a TEST HIKE to qualify. I am very interested in finding a stunning, challenging hike in the Olympic Mountains or on the Pacific Crest Trail. I am checking on tour bus access and trail permits. Tentative plans for the TEST HIKE include a hike at our Manistee 21 mile course. The date will be set soon along with our 2026 Training Hike schedule.

We were Team Orcas in 2010 and now again in 2026. This Mascot represents your curiosity, strength and sense of adventure with exploring the Best of Washington State!

Home of Jake and Kellee Gunn and daughters. It is Washington State's capital and a great place to explore. It is also well located for some of our best hikes.
We will lodge again at the well located Doubletree hotel.

With nearly a million acres of protected wilderness, diversity is the hallmark of Olympic National Park. The park includes mountains, old growth rainforests and many miles of coastline. We will definitely return to hike Hurricane Ridge with its spectacular mountain views.

Many great hiking options. Fancy a peaceful stroll down to the river, looking for birds and wildlife, or a glimpse of migrating salmon? Or are you in the mood to push your limits, climb to the heights and watch the world unfold below you?

Majestic Mt. Rainier rises over 14,000' and is an active volcano with glaciers. The meadows below the snowpack are filled with subalpine wildflowers. We'll find our trails in the ancient forests on the lower slopes.

This park extends 140 miles along the western slopes of the Cascade mountains. Hiking on Mt. Baker in September we'll still find snow on the highest parts of the trail.
